A Message From Fish

Fish surprise me with their wisdom.

It’s happened before, that I have underestimated the wisdom of fish. I unfairly do not expect the same communication and connection with a fish as I do with say Elk, Bobcat or Wolf.

Even bugs have been given greater credit and expectation when I encounter them, When they show up unwanted in my home, I take time to contemplate their message, before showing them the door,

But fish, I look at them from a shallow place in my mind. And then they pull me into the deep.

Back in 2013 a little fish taught me a big lesson which you can read about here. And yet here I am once again with a fish story to share with you.

Today I encountered fish in a mediation with a client. We were taking a journey into the Spirit World and the fish in the mountain stream called out for attention.

And suddenly, as they always surprise me, they had a crystal clear message coming from the crystal clear waters to my heart and soul.

The questions that were in the ethers had to do with succcessfully naviagting one’s journey through life, Wanting to make sure one is on their path, allowing things to manifest, and not forcing things to happen.

Fish says, “You’re already in the water. Enjoy it instead of trying to figure out how to get out of the stream! Quit looking for an escape.'”

Wow!

Spot on. The fish know.

They see us struggling, our ego minds trying to maintain some semblance of control. We think about our past, often more focused on the pain and struggles. Then we wonder why we are still struggling.

We worry about our future, and what we hope won’t happen there.

And wonder why our present feels so difficult?

If we could be in the moment, which is the stream, just be, and not look backwards or forwards, but instead chooses to trust, oh, how good it can feel!

Choosing to focus our thoughts backwards or forwards, contemplating where the stream might take us, or where we came from, may be good from time to time, but to live outside the present moment means we are not going with the flow.

Our ego mind is looking for a way out of flow. Our ego mind wants to be in control, and in the stream is not the place of control, it is the place of Spirit.

It’s up to you if you want to live from the Ego mind or learn to go with the flow.

The truth, as fish shared, is that you are already in the stream.

You are on your path and always have been.

How you are going with the flow or resisting it is all in your mind.

So for today, why not go with the flow. Just be in the stream – whatever your current circumstances may be, accept them. Don’t fight them, just know they are what they are.

Trust that when you flow downstream there will be opportunities to heal, grow, overcome and prosper.

If you are relaxed as you journey in the stream, it will be easeir for you to spot the opportunties when they present themselves. From a relaxed body and mind you can jump aboard the raft, or yacht, when it comes.

If you fret and fuss and try to get out, when there is no apparent way out of your circumstance right now, you may miss the boat entirely when it shows up.

Trust you are where you are meant to be. You are experiencing what you are meant to be experiencing. You are learning what you are meant to learn.

Go with the flow. Stop trying to escape the stream that you’re in.

Relax and follow the wisdom of FISH!

And may there be peace on your journey!
