Breaking Free From Unhealthy Patterns

There is a path that will lead you out of the maze of unhealthy patterns in your life.

But first, you have to recognize that you are stuck in a pattern!

Once you wake up , and reading this tells me you are aware, then you can take some very simple steps to be free.

  1. Recognize the pattern
  2. Somatic Release (any body/mind healng modality such as yoga, EFT, massage, and others)
  3. Enlist a helper such as a coach, a friend or therapist to help you recognize the old pattern when making new decisions.
  4. Believe in something better – envision a different future
  5. Be very, very thoughtful in all of your life decisions going forward.

So the first step, as I said, is recognize the pattern. If you’ve ever found yourself saying, “Why does THAT keep happing to me?” Or, “It never works out – such and so always happens!” Then you know, these are patterns.

And your belief that “It” will always be that way is the block.

Your belief in the pattern keeps fueling it. Your mind believes it, so it is on an unconscious level looking for ways to make it true.

You aren’t consciously choosing these horrible things to continue to happen to you. No, no!

It’s not your fault. You were not the one who caused it to happen the first time, and it isn’t your fault it keeps happening. It’s the pain, the emotional pain, the mental trauma, that is stuck in your body that keeps it going round and round. And then it is easy to believe “it will always be that way.”

It is your emotional and mental wounding that is causing the traumatic events to live on…and on…and on. Your cellular body is not looking at the clock or the calendar. It only knows the reality of that pain, and is stuck there.

You can live in this day and your current reality, but the pain in your mind and emotions continues to find ways to relive the pattern. In a way it is a cry for help. Your cellular memory is recreating a painful memory, because deep inside, that is all it knows.

And now that you’ve recognized it, you can heal and move on.

In fact you CAN clear it from your body, heal your mind and emotions, and create a new, healthier life for yourself.

So even though this painful event happened long ago, and someone else probably caused you this pain, YOU can free yourself right now.

When you free yourself from the pain and release it from your body, you will begin to live the life you have been trying so hard to create. The block will be removed.

So after recognizing and admitting the pattern in which you are stuck, then you need to do the healing work. In order to clear this kind of stuck energy, it needs to involve all parts of yourself. The pain may be stuck in your cells, anywhere in your body. The pain may be stuck in your mental body or emotional body, or physical body, or all of the above.

That is why incorporating a healing modality that includes all levels of clearing is so important. There are yoga practices that help to clear these wounds. Look for “emotional release yoga poses.” Then practice them on a regular basis.

Massage also helps to clear deep wounds, especially when you incorporate deep breathing and meditation while receiving your massage. Drink a lot of water, or do a salt bath after the massage to further expedite the healing release from your cells.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) or Tapping is another wonderful, simple healing modality to help you release from all levels of mind and body. Here is one of my own tutorial videos on EFT

and their are many EFT videos for every kind of issue. Or you can work with an EFT practitioner such as myself.

It is important for you to say the words, as well as feel the emotions while tapping. Thus clearing the pain on all levels. A coach can help you find the words, or just follow your heart and say what you are feeling as you tap on the different points of the body. Each point is connected to a meridian that alleviates the pain held in different parts of the body.

Once you clear the pain from the cells, your mind and emotions, you can move forward. You will find the old trauma will no longer trigger you, and you will be able to more easily move out of the pattern.

You will then be free to create a new reality.

Yet you will want to find a way to carefully make decisions that are thoughtful and not a part of the old frequency. You must imagine a better life, first, and then consider carefully your options at every crossroad.

If something feels a bit too familiar, be careful and wise. Consult with a friend, coach or therapist for a second opion. They may recognize an old pattern, where you were sensing something familiar that is often enticing to our minds.

Our subconscious fears the unknown. It will want to cling to the old pattern, unless you constantly feed it a positive image of a better life. As you continue to imagine a better life, the unconscious mind begins to believe in that reality. But you must feed the better images to your brain, more than you feed it the old life and old pattern.

You must stop thinking about what you don’t want anymore, and DO think about the better life.

Then be discerning in all of your decisions.

If something feels too easy and too comfortable, watch out. Be wary of the old familiar ways. Ask your coach, trusted advisor or friend when making these decisions.

Getting that outside perspective can help you get unstuck and move into the new imagined better life.

And lastly, invest more time and energy into yourself. The things you know you need to do to be truly successful, do these.

Go ahead and make a list. Then follow through. Tap on it!

Remember to begin with emotional release yoga, deep massage and/or EFT.

Shift the pain from your body. Clear yourself.

Then go forward carefully, thoughtfully.

Plan for a different kind of life. Visualize, affirm, meditate and believe in a better life for you now!
